Altered Portraits

Blur Motion

1. This project was altered portraits. We took photos of other people and modified them by using photoshop in many different styles.
2. We were assigned this as a project. The reason we were assigned this as a project was to become more familiar with the tools in photoshop for future reference and to learn about different methods of photography.
3. I think these images were successful because they are more pleasing to look at than the other photos i took for this project. I think the photoshop is better done with these four photos.
4. The images were not successful because the photoshop wasn't that well done. I think I could've done a better job.
5. I would better position the subjects in the photo and take my my time photoshopping the photos.
6. This project helped me learn more about photoshopping because I was very inexperienced with it. I also learned more about the types of photography out there.

1. This project is blur motion. When the shutter speed is low and the subject moves the photo will come out with a blur.
2. We were assigned this project to learn about shutter speed and how to use it.
3. I think these photos were successful because I was able to capture the blur more than the others while making it like kinda visually pleasing.
4.I don't think these images were successful because they're not as well done as the others. They look like the photo was taken accidentally. I'm not a fan of how they turned out.
5. What I would do now to make the photos more successful is lower the shutter speed more so the blur is more prominent in the photos. I think having more moving subjects or objects would help to make the photo better too.
6. This project helped me learn about the shutter speed and how it can change an image. I also learned a low shutter speed makes the photo increasingly brighter.

Forced Perspective

1. This project is forced Perspective. The photo tricks the eye into seeing something small as big or something big as small.
2.We were assigned this project to help us better learn what depth of field is and how to use it for photos.
3. I think these images are successful because they capture the perspective better than the rest of the image I took.
4. I think the photos weren't successful because it doesn't use forced perspective well. The photos aren't well done.
5. To make the photos more successful I would look up more examples and use the depth of field better to.
6. This project helped me learn more about depth of field and more types of photography that can be done.

Still Life

1. This project is still life. For still life someone just takes a picture of objects. The objects can have a theme or no theme.
2. We were assigned this project to practice shooting and help us be more creative.
3. I think these images were successful because of the lighting and position. I really liked the clean white lightening more than the colored lights.
4. These photos weren't as successful because I didn't like the lightening and I was running out of ideas for placement.
5. I would shoot this project with a cleaner more brighter light with more interesting items and maybe incorporate a theme to some photos.
6.This project helped me learn how to place items and the subject better so the photos can be positioned well.

Advanced Lighting

1. This project is Advanced Lighting. The listing for the photos can be different colors.
2. This project was assigned to us to try new things beside the regular portraits.
3. These photos were successful because they aren't just of the person face but incorporated different things as well.
4. These photos weren't successful because because the pink light wasn't that bright unless it was extremely close to the subject.
5. To improve the photos I would shoot them with a different light and try adding more people. I would also shoot the photos in a more creative way rather than just straight ahead.
6. This project helped me learn more about color and how different colors can affect the tone and mood of the photo.

Independent Project #1: Skin/Red

1. This project is my first independent project that I have chose to complete.
2.I choose this type of photography because I like working with the colored lights and because it interested me.
3. I think these images were successful because I was alone which made it more comfortable to take the photo and because I wasn't the one in one of the photos so it was easier to position the camera to how I wanted it.
4. I think these images weren't that successful because it was my first time using the self timer. It was more difficult to take rather than holding the camera and shooting it manually.
5. To make these images more successful I would shoot them in a place with more room. Where I took these photos it was very crowed and hard to move around in.
6. This project helped me learn how to use the self timer. I also learned how to take self portraits with the camera.

Independent Project #2:

1. This project is my second independent project. I wanted this project to capture different emotions such as confusion, anger, and sorrow.
2. I choose this project because I was interested in how to capture the emotion in a person's face and the change in their life.
3. I think these images were successful because to me they are visually pleasing and I am able to see the emotion in the subject's eyes.
4. I think these images weren't successful because I wasn't able to get the wanted emotion I had envisioned. I didn't do such a god job on these ones.
5. To make these more successful I would change the angle of the photo and made more water.
6. This project helped me learn how to shoot photos filled with emotion better. Also how to incorporate emotion by turning the photo black and white.

Independent Project #3

1. This project is my third independent project. I wanted the photos to look dark and mysterious.
2. I choose this type of photography because it interested me and I wanted to shoot photos that might be semi-creepy or dark.
3. These photos turned out successful because to me I feel these photos are spooky and mysterious. I was able to capture what I wanted to with these photos.
4. These photos weren't as successful because the creepiness isn't really presented. They seem too off colored.
5. To fix these photos I would probably edit them differently and try new angles.
6. This project helped me learn how to pose and position different objects.

Independent Project #4: Ghost

1. This project is my independent project #4. I shot photos of a typical ghost by having a person wear a sheet with holes for the eyes.
2. I choose this type of photography because more portrait type of photography is what I think I am good at the most. This type go photography is what interests me the most and I thought shooting ghost would have an interesting twist to it.
3. I think these photos were successful because of the lighting and scenery. The lighting seems to help shape the tone of the photos.
4. These photos weren't successful because they look too plain. Nothing seems to be going on and there's not really any type color. All the colors blend into each other.
5. In order to make this project more successful I would now shoot the photos with more nature and colors to bring out the ghost more. I would also photoshop the images more with contrast.
6. This project taught me how to use color to make my photos look more pleasing.

Independent Project #5: Couple

1. This project is my 5th independent project about couples. I decided to shoot my myself as one of the subjects.
2. I wanted to do this type of photography because I like shooting people more than anything else.
3. I think these images were successful because of the lighting and the poses of the photos. I liked how some of the photos came out as a silhouette.
4. I think these photos weren't successful because the lighting was really bad. I didn't like how the lighting made the photos really warm and orange/yellow. I didn't like the position of people either. They look too forced.
5. I would shoot the photos now by taking some outside in natural light.
6. This project helped me learn more about lighting and how it can affect the overall photo.

Independent Project #6: Portraits

1. This is my project in this class which is my independent project #6. I shot portraits with a lot of different colors.
2. I shot this type of photography because I enjoy shooting portraits and photos incorporating people. I wanted to have a lot of color in the photos.
3. Isabella's hair and makeup made a good contrast with the color of nature and her clothes helped match with the surroundings.
4. The other photos weren't as successful because two are straight across and the cropping looks slightly weird.
5. Now I would shoot this project with more and different angles. I would experiment with the many different shot types more.
6. This project helped me learn different ways to take portraits and how to better use shot types.
